Benimar’s 2027 Yrteo Motorhomes Get 6.7 Inches Taller Inside, Starting Around $65,000

Benimar is betting that a few extra inches can change everything. For its 2027 Yrteo lineup, slim, compact European-style motorhomes built on the Ford Transit, the Spanish RV maker has redesigned the living “cell” to deliver a claimed 6.7 inches of additional interior headroom.

That’s the kind of upgrade shoppers actually feel: standing up to cook, pulling on a jacket, moving from the lounge to the bathroom without ducking. Benimar is also expanding the Yrteo range from two floor plans to four, and says every model will now include a drop-down overhead bed as standard equipment.

Pricing in Europe starts at €60,290, about$65,000at current exchange rates, before options. In a crowded compact-motorhome market, Benimar is clearly aiming to win buyers who want a smaller rig that still sleeps more than two people when needed.

A taller roofline, and a standard drop-down bed

The headline change for 2027 is the new body design. Benimar reshaped the over-cab section (the “cap” above the driver area) to create more usable height in the cabin, claiming an extra17 centimeters, about6.7 inches, of headroom.

On narrow-profile motorhomes, that’s a big deal. These rigs are popular because they’re easier to drive and park than larger Class A–style coaches, but they can feel tight inside, especially for taller travelers or anyone spending long stretches indoors during bad weather.

Benimar ties that added vertical space to another key move: adrop-down overhead bedwill be standard across the entire Yrteo line. For couples, it can function as an occasional extra bunk. Two of them stick close to the previous formula. TheY841keeps a transverse bed setup, while theY862continues with twin beds. Benimar says the refreshed interiors improve circulation and make the living area feel more open, an important selling point in this size class, where every inch affects day-to-day livability.

The trade-off, as always, is that more layouts mean more compromises depending on the model, storage volume, kitchen size, and bathroom space can shift dramatically from one plan to another. Shoppers will need to compare the diagrams carefully based on how they actually travel, not how they imagine traveling.

Longer bodies for two models, still aiming for “compact”

The redesign isn’t just about height. Benimar also stretched two models to carve out more interior space.

TheY841grows by40 centimeters(about15.7 inches) to a total length of6.39 meters, roughly21.0 feet. TheY862adds30 centimeters(about11.8 inches) and lands just under7 meters, or just under23 feet.

Those numbers matter in the real world: parking, fitting into tighter campsites, and navigating narrow roads. Benimar’s pitch is that the added length buys meaningful comfort, wider walkways, a less cramped kitchen, and a bathroom that doesn’t feel like an afterthought.

The bigger story is positioning: Benimar wants Yrteo to feel like a true everyday-friendly compact motorhome that can still handle family duty thanks to the standard drop-down bed. If the pricing holds once buyers start adding the more powerful engine, automatic transmission, and comfort packages, the 2027 Yrteo could land in a sweet spot, roomier than many compact rivals without jumping into full-size RV territory.
